Anyone who reads my blog will know that I was genuinely upset that I had to miss Denise Heywood's talk at Monument Books a couple of days ago - absolutely gutted is how I would phrase it. However, Denise has sent me a run-down on how it went - including who was amongst the audience and that the projector screen fell down whilst she was talking! - and best of all, I love the above picture of two of my favourite ladies, Denise and the legendary Em Theay, who came to the talk with her daughter. Em Theay is a national treasure and icon and deserves her place at the pinnacle of Cambodian dance today. Here's a link to a story in the Phnom Penh Post about Denise and her book: Phnom Penh Post.
