Cambodia Angkor Airline
The new national carrier, Cambodia Angkor Airline will begin its life in the air on 27 July with an inaugural flight from Sihanoukville's newly refurbished airport to Siem Reap. In a joint venture with Vietnam Airlines, CAA will kick off with just two ATR-72 aircraft and look to add more as destinations and business increases. Is anyone opening a book on how long the airline will last and whether it will go the way of others like Royal Phnom Penh Airways, Kampuchea Airlines, Angkor Airways, Royal Air Cambodge, PMT and Siem Reap Airways? Time will tell.

Dear Andy, excusse me this has nothing to do with teh actual posting, but Im reading a very good book on Cambodia (so it seemed to me), its called SIDESHOW, it seemed very well researched and detailed, really incisive view on Cambodian recent history by a British former Sunday Times journalist. I would like to ask you: - time and again, the author quotes de-classified documents from US government with the mark: EYES ONLY - what does that mean? Thank you for any clarification - Sabrina Singh, Lautuoka, Fidji Islands (a Commonwealth member)
Yes William Shawcross' SIDESHOW is highly regarded in setting the scene for Cambodia during the 70s.
As for EYES ONLY...it is meant that if a file is addressed to the head of a department or section for example, then it can be seen by his eyes only, no one else. And if a memo or envelope is addressed Eyes Only Andy Brouwer, then I would expect to receive it without anyone else having read its contents.
